For Nkem Sarah Oobo, the journey to becoming a Personal Support Worker (PSW) was driven by her deep passion for helping others. A graduate of the PSW program, Nkem reflects on her transformative educational experience and the motivation that brought her to this career path.

“I have a passion for helping people in services,” she shares. “So I decided to take on this course to enhance my career path.”

Encouragement from trusted friends and acquaintances who had previously attended the same school played a significant role. “I got a lot of referrals,” she explains. “People who had gone to the school said good things about it—the way the program is run, the coordinators, the teachers, and the school as a whole.”

Yes, everybody studies, but the teachers and professors make it very seamless for you. They carry you along and literally walk with you throughout the program,” she says.
