From Classroom to Clinic: Harpreet’s Inspiring Story

September 6th, 2024

My name is Harpreet, and I am an associate at Claireview Physiotherapy & Rehab Center. It’s a business that my mom and I have opened together. Our center offers various services, including physiotherapy, massage therapy, chiropractic care, and acupuncture.

When we look for candidates to join our team, we prioritize confidence and passion. It’s essential that the people we bring on board are not only skilled but are also genuinely passionate about their chosen field—whether it’s physiotherapy, massage, or other forms of care. We expect candidates to do their best work, as this ensures they meet both the needs of our patients and the business.

We have a close connection with triOS College, as my mom herself was a student there. In fact, we’ve hired triOS graduates in the past. We believe that graduates from triOS show dedication to their fields. The turnout at our recent career fair at triOS College’s Brampton Campus was impressive, with many students showing great enthusiasm for their work and a desire to be a part of our healthcare community.

Being involved in the healthcare community is crucial, especially in fields like physiotherapy, where it’s a small circle. Everyone knows everyone—whether it’s businesses or providers. Building these relationships gives you an edge. The connections you form with other providers and business owners can take you far. Whether you’re seeking references, looking for job opportunities, or even thinking of starting your own business, the advice and support from within the community can be invaluable.

Personal skills are just as important as technical abilities. Communication is key. We want to ensure that our interns and employees are comfortable communicating with patients, as they are representing not only themselves but also our business. Confidence is vital, especially when explaining the services we provide. It’s about conveying professionalism, knowledge, and genuine care for patient well-being.

These traits—dedication, communication skills, and confidence—are what we value most when we hire, and it’s why we continue to seek out graduates who show these qualities.
