Enrolment Made Easy: Answers to Your Biggest Questions

September 16th, 2024

Hi, I’m Corry Rowter, Regional Director of Admissions at triOS College. Today, I want to walk you through what it means to have an education consultant by your side as you take steps toward advancing your education.

What is an Education Consultant?

An education consultant is someone who helps you enrol in a program. We sit down with you, go over the programs available, help you figure out why you want to go back to school, and then guide you through the process of getting started. In short, an education consultant is your support system—helping you come to school and succeed.

What is the enrolment process like?

For those of you looking to go back to school, the process is quite easy. All you have to do is submit some information on our website. Once that information is submitted, someone from our admissions support center will contact you. From there, they’ll help schedule an appointment with one of our education consultants.

During that appointment, we’ll walk you through everything: identifying the program that best fits your goals, deciding whether you’d like to study remotely, in person, or online, and guiding you through the financial aspects of returning to school. Once all these steps are completed, you’ll be ready to enrol and begin your educational journey.

What’s the average age of students?

We welcome students from all walks of life, with most of our students being over the age of 30. However, we accept students ranging from age 18 to 65, so no matter your age or background, we’re here for you.

Does triOS College offer bursaries?

Financial concerns are common for students considering going back to school, but we offer a wide range of bursaries and financial support options. Whether you’re a newcomer to Canada, fresh out of high school, or interested in our Paralegal program, there’s likely a bursary that can help you. We’re here to help you explore these options and determine which ones you’re eligible for.

What funding options are available to students?

A lot of students are worried about how they’re going to fund their education. Don’t worry—that’s where we come in. There are many ways to fund your education, from OSAP funding to using your RRSPs or setting up a payment plan. We will help you find the right option for your financial situation, ensuring that there’s a solution for everyone.

Can students work while attending triOS?

Some students worry about balancing work and school. Yes, you can work while you’re in school! Our classes are designed to be flexible, with some programs running for just 4 to 5 hours a day. We offer both daytime and evening classes, as well as online options, so you can fit school around your work schedule.

Should I be worried that I’m too old to start school?

Another concern many people have is whether they’re too old to start school. Let me reassure you: you’re never too old to pursue education. We have students aged 18 to 65, and we welcome anyone who wants to start or continue their educational journey. If you’re thinking about going back to school, give us a call, and we’ll help you get enrolled.

What if I’m unsure which program is right for me?

If you’re nervous about not knowing what you want to study, don’t worry—that’s completely normal. Our education consultants are here to sit down with you, figure out why you want to go to school and help you choose the program that’s the best fit for you. We’ll explore your options together and help you narrow down the best career path.

At triOS College, we’re here to support you every step of the way – from choosing your program to figuring out the financial side of things. Whatever your concerns may be, we’re here to help make your return to school as smooth as possible.
