Do You Want A Career In Web Technology? Consider Our Web Technology Specialist Program
October 28th, 2016 / By triOS College
Have you ever noticed how seamlessly websites like Buzzfeed, The Guardian, and Mic integrate graphics and design with their written content? That’s because the designers and developers of these world-class websites understand the importance of presenting content in a compelling, “natural” way. A Web Technology Specialist works hard to ensure that the content looks sound and easy to consume.
As the Internet continues to grow, websites (for businesses, especially) must engage audiences in innovative and relevant ways. Doing this means striking a fine balance between aesthetics, utility, and solid content. Anybody can make a website, as there are countless easy-to-use tools available, but it takes someone with a special eye and feel for web design to make something truly memorable and meaningful.
triOS College’s Web Technology Specialist program offers students a firm background in all of the tools necessary to developing interactive apps and websites, as well as the theoretical toolkit to creating innovative and engaging web material.
The Beauty of Software
Though it is indeed a technical skill, web and app design is also a kind of artform. Like writing a story or painting a picture, a web specialist or developer must use the tools of their trade (CSS, Java, HTML5, etc.) as a writer or an artist would use a pen or a paintbrush.
The biggest difference lies in the interactive nature of websites and applications–from the second the user opens the app or website until they are finished using it, the platform is not only a utility, but an experience.
For business-to-consumer tech companies in particular, this experience is an essential part of both branding and practical utility. Consumers and users will likely not know exactly how you developed your app and/or website, but they will certainly remember the experience of using it. That is why these platforms must be both useful and aesthetically pleasing.
Aside from software development, web technology specialists can also find work in the fields of server management and database programming. Both of these fields are equally important to maintaining seamless application usage and utility. Whichever career you are seeking in web technologies, each step must be in tune with the others in order to create truly engaging applications, content, and web pages.
